Death by Design FL is the solo cinematic death metal project created and fronted by Casey Sicher-Ford from Daytona Beach, Florida. Built from the foundation of Florida's legendary death metal lineage, the project blends technical death metal intensity with concept-album storytelling, guttural vocals, programmed brutality, bass-driven arrangements, and cinematic atmosphere. The inspiration behind Death by Design FL traces back to April 4, 2006, at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida, where Casey witnessed Krisiun, Behemoth, and Morbid Angel in a night that left a permanent mark. That experience became part of the DNA of a project built not simply around songs, but around worlds: aggressive, detailed, narrative-driven metal designed for both the mosh pit and the mind. Death by Design FL's debut album, Metal Multiverse, transformed comic-book mythology and cinematic scale into a full-length technical death metal concept record. With the second full-length album, The Trial of a Species, the project moves into a darker original universe: a post-human tribunal judging humanity, technological dependence, moral compromise, and the escaped HumanOS mankind created. Written, performed, and produced by Casey Sicher-Ford, with post-production assistance by Billy Lemasters and guest vocals by David Robin Sicher-Ford on Verdict: Obsolete, The Trial of a Species delivers a brutal, philosophical, and cinematic indictment of technology, control, profit, war, and consequence.
